Rain rain go away...

So far winter break has been full of rainy days.
Leaving a whole lot of puddles...

This trench above is typically all dry.

Welcome to rainy Hawaiian days.
Believe it or not, it's not sunny all the time in paradise.

Back home in Virginia however, this is what's going on...

I miss a good snowy winter.

Thanks Nanna and Poppa for sending me the great winter wonderland pictures!

Christmas Eve

Can't believe it's already Christmas Eve!
The weather in Hawaii makes it feel more like June than December!
I'm excited for mine and Beau's first Christmas together though!

India re-visited

No no, don't be fooled, we did not go back to India.
Nor are we planning on any Indian trips for the near future.
BUT....
Our group was featured on APA.org!
APA stands for American Psychological Association

Christmas baking

With the semester ending, and Christmas approaching, I have been making LOTS of treats lately. They are being taken to work meetings, classes, and neighbors. And a few are being left for us of course. :)

Tis the season...

It's a bit different being in Hawaii and seeing lights wrapped around the palm trees and people walking around in shorts and flip flops. BUT, Beau and I are excited to be having our first Christmas together. We have added a bit of seasonal flair to our tiny apartment.

Exciting news

Guess where Beau and I are likely going next summer?

Egypt!

We originally thought it would be for 6 weeks, buuuuuuuut, it is sounding more like 3 months now!
Nothing is definite of course. But it is sounding like a very promising trip.
Check out the website to the organization we are going to be working with.
