So this weekend the hubby and I went to a fabulous Halloween party at some friends' house.  

We had such a blast hanging out with everyone, eating deliciously spooky treats, and playing hilarious games. 

We ended up playing our own version of Halloween Pictionary--boys ("double headed rat slayers") versus girls ("the witches") of course. And let me tell you, if you're looking to make a game competitive, just make it guys versus girls.  I swear that amps up the competitiveness by about 10,248.  Or approximately so.

car nonsense

This week has been kinda crazy guys.

Last week on Beau's commute to work, our car broke down.

It had to be towed and taken to a mechanic.  

And of course the mechanic couldn't do anything, so we had to take it to the dealership.

Well, after replacing the car's computer (which cost us a good grand), we were on our way again 

and were just relieved to put our car issues behind us.

Or so we thought.

Two days ago, only six days since the car was last at the dealership, our car broke down in the exact same manner again.  And of course it was on Beau's way to work again.

He had to take the day off on Monday and get the car towed to the dealership...once again.

Well, they remembered us of course and were surprisingly decent about the whole thing. 

They're going to send us a check to reimburse us for the towing.

They gave us a rental car to use for the day (on their bill) while they took a look at our car.

And unfortunately, after all their inspections and tests, they still couldn't figure out what was wrong.

They apparently think it is one of three possible problems...but until one of those three things actually break, they won't know which it is.  Come on, don't we have something that can check that without just playing the waiting game?? Apparently not. 

So they sent us on our merry way home with the car yesterday.  Beau said it drove fine, 

so let's just hope that it stays that way.

On the plus side, the dealership didn't charge us for anything though.

Thankfully.

things I'm grateful for lately

Lately I've got a lot of things to be grateful for. 

And I know I've been a horrible blogger lately. 

And I KNOW you're all tired of hearing me say that...

but I think I need an outlet again, so no promises,

but I really am going to try and be more consistent in my blogging.

So bear with my everyone!

Even though I haven't been coming through with my blogging, can we still be friends?

I certainly hope so.

Anyhow, here are just a few of the things that I'm grateful for lately.

• The opportunity to travel to Bangladesh next summer
• Hubby has submitted his first application to grad school and is working hard on his other ones
• I was able to receive some wonderful, WONDERFUL advice from General Conference at the beginning of the month. This was one of my favorites.
• Finally starting to get some answers to some health problems.  (More on that later.)
• Having a car again.  Who knew cars occasionally needed new computers? In fact, who knew car's even had computers?? Well, they do. And they cost a boatload of moolah. But all is well now. Except our bank account of course. 
• And finally, I'm grateful that it's almost the weekend at last! Anyone have any exciting plans? 

Guess where I might be going next summer...

Hubby and I have been invited to go to on a trip this coming summer. 

Where, you might ask?

Bangladesh!

Yep, that's right, not the typical vacation country.

But that seems to be the pattern with us.  

Because let me tell you, India was no vacation either. 

But as much as we love vacations, 

we'd rather travel around saving the world. 

Alright alright, so it's not like we're saving the world necessarily, 

but we definitely are doing some good in it.

We've been invited to help do a statistics evaluation for a program through the University of Dhaka.

From what I understand of the program so far, they help save girls and women from the sex trade

and give them a better life by teaching them skills and educating them.  

Anyhow, so my professor who took us to India back in 2010 

wants us to go on this trip as well.  The majority of the team (about 15 people including my professor) 

will probably only go for about 2 weeks.  A couple people need to go ahead of time to set the project up though, so my professor has asked us to go for about 2 months.  

Yep, we'd basically be living in Bangladesh for the summer.

I'll actually be graduated by next summer (April graduation! wooo!) and since hubby is no

longer in school either, it's surprising that the school would still fund us to go.  

But lucky for us, our school is AWESOME and has already approved funding for the project.

So now it's just up to us.

We've got big decisions ahead of us people...
